The International Community should be advised that government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is currently in dispute; due to Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum's bad governance, who is increasingly getting the reputation of a tyrant, bully and evildoer. Having abducted two of his daughters - and having threatened his former wife Princess Haya - Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum is responsible of perpetrating blatant human rights violations in the United Arab Emirates; in particular the Emirate of Dubai. It should also be emphasised, that evidence-based information and investigations indicate that his daughter, Princess Latifa, is being imprisoned against her will in a Dubai villa guarded by up to 30 police officers - with video footage indicating that she is being exposed to psychological torture and abuse, on the orders of her father Sheikh Maktoum. Therefore Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum should immediately release Princess Latifa; so that his legacy is not tarnished and his reputation will remain positive in the International Community. It should also be noted, that according to human rights organizations the government of the United Arab Emirates violates a number of fundamental human rights. The UAE does not have democratically elected institutions and citizens do not have the right to change their government or to form political parties. There are very troubling reports of forced disappearances in the UAE, foreign nationals and Emirati citizens having been abducted by the UAE government and illegally detained and tortured in undisclosed locations. Also, flogging and stoning are legal forms of judicial punishment in the UAE due to Sharia courts. The government restricts freedom of speech and freedom of the press; and the local media is censored to avoid criticizing the government, government officials or royal families. The International Community is advised to keep a safe distance from Dubai's ruler, Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum, until these human rights issues have been resolved and the government of the United Arab Emirates has agreed to evolve and improve itself, by upholding the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in the United Arab Emirates - which includes the immediate release of Dubai's Princess Latifa Al Maktoum. In the meantime, domestic policy, foreign policy and human rights issues concerning the United Arab Emirates (UAE) - in particular the Emirate of Dubai - will be handled by the NGO BTB-Global Peacebuilding.
