Throughout, Kathy Pienaar's beautiful illustrations show great attention to detail.

Dianne Stewart is an award-winning author who has published many highly acclaimed children's books locally and internationally, including Folktales from Africa, The Guineafowl's Spots and Other African Bird Tales, and African Myths and Legends (with Jay Heale), as well as Wisdom from Africa, a collection of proverbs and sayings. Dianne has degrees in African Languages, Literature and Anthropology, giving her an pool of knowledge from which to draw for her research into African folklore and mythology.
