The mission of the Catholic Church is evangelisation, the purpose of which is conversion. At a diocesan level, the mission is carried out through the agencies of family, parish and school. Richard Patrick Branson has been involved in teaching and coordinating Catholic secondary school religious education for more than forty years, as well as serving as a religious education consultant and university lecturer in the same field. His doctoral studies focused on researching the role of the imagination in adolescent religious conversion.
